Food Crave Terms of Use
These are the current Food Crave Terms of Use. You will be asked to accept revised Terms before continuing to use your account.
Food Crave is operated by Kimberlee Creative Tech LLC ("we", "us"). The Apple Developer Program membership and App Store Connect account for Food Crave are held by Kimberlee Creative Tech LLC. These Terms govern Food Crave accounts and use of the service. The Community Guidelines form part of these Terms. Read the separate Privacy Policy for data practices; agreeing to these Terms is not blanket privacy consent.
Food Crave is currently in TestFlight beta and preparing for release. Features described as future or unavailable are not promises of availability. Questions: support@kimberleecreativetech.com.
1. Accounts and eligibility
Food Crave accounts are for people aged 18 or older, initially in the United States. Provide an accurate age declaration and account information, keep your login secure, and do not impersonate others, share access to evade restrictions, or create accounts to bypass moderation.
Our AI provider's terms restrict generative AI use in applications directed toward or likely accessed by under-18s. The adult account policy applies even to free accounts; it is separate from Apple's content age rating. The age screen is self-declared, not identity verification. No exact age or birth date is requested. An under-18 choice stops signup; you may return when eligible.
New accounts must expressly agree to the current Terms and Community Guidelines. Existing accounts must agree before continuing protected account use. If you do not agree, do not create or continue using an account; support, sign-out and account-deletion routes remain available.
2. Recipes, AI and feature availability
Catalog search does not use AI. All active signed-in accounts can use AI recipe creation, publishing, photos, following, badges, unlimited favorites, shopping lists, reviews and discussion without a subscription. Free accounts have 20 AI generations per UTC calendar month; accounts with verified Premium have 50. Creating or successfully revising an AI recipe uses the monthly allowance; local edits and portion scaling do not. Explicit AI generation sends recipe requirements to Google Gemini through Firebase AI Logic on Vertex AI. Review every generated or community recipe before using it. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, similar to other output, or unsuitable for your needs; availability and generation limits may change.
Food Crave does not provide medical, dietary or professional food-safety advice. Verify ingredients, allergen labels, substitutions, safe cooking temperatures and storage practices independently. Filters cannot guarantee allergen avoidance or prevent cross-contact. Do not rely on Food Crave for a clinical purpose or as a substitute for qualified professional advice.
Current publishing starts from an eligible account's AI draft and supports manual edits. Importing or entering an entirely separate recipe is not currently available. If introduced, the publishing flow will explain the applicable permissions before publication.
Operator-provided recipes are identified as Shared Library entries rather than publications by a personal Craver profile. That label does not mean every recipe was cooked, independently tested, exclusive, or copyrightable.
3. Ownership is different from permission
We retain our rights in Food Crave's software, branding, operator-created material and any protectable human-created selection or arrangement of the catalog. You retain whatever intellectual-property rights you have in your original contributions, such as original photos and substantial human-written expression. Publishing does not automatically transfer ownership to us or dedicate content to the public domain.
AI-generated output may not qualify for copyright and may not be unique. Ingredients, ideas and cooking methods may also be unprotected. These Terms do not create exclusive ownership where the law does not provide it, guarantee that you or we own AI output, or remove third-party rights.
Only submit content you are authorized to use and license. Do not copy another person's photographs or protected recipe writing without permission. Recipes generated through Food Crave still require review for inappropriate or potentially infringing content.
4. Public recipe-text permissions
Publishing makes recipe text part of a reusable community catalog. For rights you hold in recipe titles, descriptions, ingredients, directions and other recipe text you choose to publish, you grant Kimberlee Creative Tech LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, format, display, distribute and sublicense that text for Food Crave and related recipe services, including through service providers and licensed partners.
This includes commercial use and permission to authorize others to use the recipe text, without paying you royalties. It is not an exclusive transfer: you may continue using and sharing your contributions yourself. We do not grant partners rights we do not have, and do not promise a future service or feature.
This recipe-text license continues for public recipes retained in the catalog after account deletion with personal attribution removed, subject to applicable law and valid rights or removal requests. It does not cover private drafts, prompts, account information, dietary preferences, support correspondence, user photos or reviews.
For public recipe text we are authorized to share, Food Crave permits other users to save, download where supported, cook, and share it for personal, noncommercial use, including by email. Keep any supplied attribution and rights notices where practicable; do not imply a contributor or Food Crave endorses you. Bulk extraction, resale, commercial redistribution and API/database access require separate written permission. These contractual conditions do not create copyright in unprotected facts or methods.
5. Photos, reviews and private contributions
For photos, reviews and other contributions you submit, you grant a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, process, format, display and distribute them as necessary to operate, secure, support and moderate Food Crave, using service providers for those purposes. Public contributions are visible through the app's sharing and visibility features. Other users do not receive a general commercial license to your photos or reviews.
Private drafts, prompts and account information are processed to provide the requested service under the Privacy Policy, not licensed for distribution as public catalog content. Public visibility does not eliminate privacy rights. Do not include unnecessary personal information in public content.
Service permissions cease for content removed from the service, except for justified legal/security records, provider retention and copies already distributed as explained in the Privacy Policy. Anonymized public reviews and discussion comments/replies may remain as Craver after account deletion. Discussion has the narrower service permissions in this section, not the broader recipe-text license. We cannot recall copies others have already downloaded.
6. Community conduct, reports and enforcement
Follow the Community Guidelines. Do not harass others, post illegal or abusive material, expose private information, distribute malicious content, manipulate community activity, or bypass access controls. Do not use the service or AI output in ways prohibited by applicable law or provider terms, including prohibited attempts to extract or replace the provider's models.
Use report controls for recipes, reviews and Cravers, or contact support. A report alone does not automatically hide content. The operator reviews reports and may remove content or suspend an account. Suspension blocks account access and quarantines public profiles, recipes, reviews and contributed photos for review. Restoration reenables quarantined content not separately deleted; it does not guarantee preservation of all content.
After review, the admin may permanently delete an account, uploads and unapproved recipes; expressly approved recipes may remain as Shared Library, and retained reviews and discussion may remain anonymously as Craver. Separately rejected content stays hidden or deleted. Contact support from your account email for a suspension review, rights concern or deletion assistance. Do not send passwords or verification codes. A review request does not guarantee restoration.
7. Deletion, retention and rights requests
You can request self-service account deletion in Profile after reauthentication. Private account data and known account uploads are cleaned up; published recipes may remain as Shared Library with account attribution removed, and published reviews and discussions may remain anonymously as Craver. Admin-reviewed recipe retention differs as described above. Suspended users should contact support for assistance.
Account deletion is not a promise that all email copies, provider logs, backups, or downloaded copies are erased. See the retention policy. To request removal of a particular contribution or raise a copyright/privacy concern, email support with enough information to identify it and explain your rights. We may need to verify the request and will assess legal obligations, content rights and retained copies.
8. Payments and third-party services
Subscription Terms
Build 10 has Premium purchase prompts disabled. The next release candidate is planned to enable an optional monthly Premium subscription with 50 monthly AI generations for testing and public release at US$0.99/month, subject to testing and Apple approval. Free retains the full feature set with 20 monthly AI generations. Both plans have no in-app ads in this release; rewarded-ad recipe unlocking and a footer banner are deferred. Apple's localized price and purchase sheet confirm the actual price and terms when purchasing is available. TestFlight purchases use Apple's sandbox without real charges; purchases in the public App Store app are charged by Apple.
When available, Premium (the Crave Monthly product) is a monthly auto-renewable Apple subscription without an introductory free trial. The former trial and Tester Subscription experiences have been retired. Apple confirms the final price and charges your Apple account. It renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and Apple may charge for renewal within the final 24 hours. Manage or cancel in your Apple account's subscription settings. Cancellation retains verified Premium benefits until the paid-through date, then the account uses the Free allowance without losing community features or account history. Apple's applicable purchase and refund terms apply.
Premium is linked to the Food Crave account used when subscribing, not to a phone or an email match with Apple. You can use that Food Crave account's verified active Premium membership on other supported devices, even if the device uses a different App Store account. Other Food Crave accounts do not inherit that subscription and remain Free unless they have their own verified entitlement. Subscriptions are not automatically transferred between Food Crave accounts.
When available, Restore Purchases checks an existing subscription without purchasing or charging again. To recover a purchase from Apple, use the original App Store purchase account and Food Crave account. A purchase linked to another Food Crave account cannot be restored to the current account; sign in to the account used when subscribing, or continue using the current account. Contact support if you cannot recover that login. Restore does not renew an expired subscription or reverse cancellation. Subscribe checks for conflicting existing purchases before requesting a new purchase and can start a new paid period after expiry once purchasing is enabled. Food Crave also checks subscription status automatically when possible. Deleting your Food Crave account or uninstalling the app does not cancel Apple billing.
Apple purchasing and restoration require supported native iOS builds; TestFlight uses Apple's sandbox without real charges. Accepting these Terms does not authorize a charge. See the current creation and membership guide.
Firebase, Google, Apple and other providers operate under their applicable terms. Food Crave is not endorsed by them. Do not bypass provider restrictions or use licensed output for prohibited model-training or model-substitution activities. OpenMoji artwork has its own CC BY-SA 4.0 license, acknowledged in Help > Credits.
9. Service changes and legal protections
We may update, limit or discontinue features for operational, safety or legal reasons. Service availability, uninterrupted access and preservation of all content are not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, Food Crave is provided as available without guarantees of recipe accuracy, suitability, noninfringement or outcomes. Nothing in these Terms excludes nonwaivable consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Material changes will be identified by a new version/date and presented for renewed account acceptance. They do not silently grant new rights over earlier contributions. Where expanded permissions are needed for earlier content, we will obtain the necessary permission or exclude it. We do not backdate consent.
These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or select a dispute venue. Applicable law determines your rights. Contact support@kimberleecreativetech.com with questions.
